"More than dance"
One of the things we consistently hear from parents, is how we offer so much "more than dance." While dancers first reason to come to DDA is for dance classes (obviously!), we offer so many additional, fun components in addition to their weekly class. Most importantly, we encourage kindness, giving back, teambuilding, and volunteering.
We are a member of the International Dance Entrepreneurs Association. IDEA is an organization to protect the reputation of dance education by setting a high standard for safe and fair business practices - including age appropriate costuming and music. Making a commitment to ensure all students, regardless of age or skill level are offered a quality dance education.
Every month, we have a "Theme Week" and a "Give back." You can read more about this special part of our studio on our Give Back page. Our theme weeks range from Crazy Hair Week to Crazy Socks week...always so much fun!
To encourage dancers to get their splits down (a big deal for young dancers!), we have the Sundae Splits Club. When dancers get their splits down, they get their photo posted on our Splits wall in the studio and....they get a certificate for a FREE ice cream sundae from Kimmer's in St. Charles.
Each month we surprise our Students of the Month with a lawn sign in their yard! Dancers are nominated by our instructors each month for going above and beyond in class, being kind, helping other dancers, working hard....and everything in between.
Every year, we offer a Performance Trip (Disney World, New York, and more!) opportunity to ALL dancers ages 8 and up. Check out more on our Performance Trip page!
