What is The Strolling Nutcracker?

In 2016, Studio Owner and Director Jenny O'Brien, had a vision of bringing  shop windows to life during the holidays with "live mannequins." She presented the idea to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership (now the St. Charles Business Alliance) and for the next few years, she was the volunteer coordinator for the event, bringing together a number of local studios.

It quickly became one of our dancers (and parents!) favorite events of the year, and the joy we saw it bring to people driving and walking by, as well as business owners who allowed us to use their windows...made it even more special. The Alliance is no longer having this event as part of the annual Holiday Homecoming so we are continuing the tradition by putting a new spin on it. And that is how The Strolling Nutcracker came to be.
